Someone
once said that a well made violin in the hands of a talented
player can produce an almost voice-like quality capable of
expressing all manner of moods and feeling. I've often wondered
how men like Andre Guarneri and Antonio Stradiveri would feel
if they were here today to witness one of their priceless
works of art in a performance.
Since an early age I've been fascinated with vintage stringed
instruments. The mandolins, guitars and banjos of the 1920's
and 1930's have always intrigued me. I feel that is
when some of the best instruments in existence today were
made. The goal of many of today's luthiers is to achieve
that vintage tone in a new instrument.
At
I specialize in hand-crafted mandolins and arch top guitars.
By close attention to detail of the traditional building techniques
and the use of beautiful tone woods, my goal is to create
an instrument with exceptional tone and volume to produce
a well-balanced voice. A
voice that will stand the test of time.
